The Adani Skill Development Centre in Gagal has reached an impressive milestone, becoming Himachal Pradesh’s first Remote Pilot Training Organisation (RPTO) certified by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). This innovative initiative is designed to empower local communities with essential skills and create valuable job opportunities in the booming drone industry. The RPTO stands as a transformative force for the region, merging state-of-the-art technology with practical training to equip aspiring drone pilots for a prosperous future in the skies.

This initiative is part of the Adani Group's broader vision to foster technological advancement and provide cutting-edge skills to communities in remote regions. The RPTO in Gagal will primarily focus on training youth from the Bilaspur and Sundernagar areas, thanks to sponsorship from ACC, ensuring that local residents have access to highly subsidised training fees. While the program is designed to benefit those living close to the centre, anyone from other parts of the state will also have the opportunity to enroll, ensuring that the program’s reach extends beyond the local community.

A Dedicated and Skilled Team for Seamless Training

The Gagal RPTO has a skilled team, including Remote Pilot Instructors and a Drone Maintenance Engineer, ensuring high-quality training. Each batch of 10 trainees receives personalised instruction over seven days, gaining hands-on experience in drone operations and safety protocols. By the end, participants will be ready for certification and equipped to operate drones safely in the workforce.

Empowering Youth and Promoting Regional Development

The first Regional Pilot Training Organisation (RPTO) in Himachal Pradesh at the Adani Skill Development Centre encourages youth to explore drone technology. As the demand for skilled drone pilots rises, this program aims to meet that need. Adani supports community empowerment through skill-building and job creation. By training young people in drone technology, they are bridging the gap between traditional skills and modern careers. The RPTO program focuses on sustainable livelihoods, with graduates likely to find jobs in sectors like agriculture, logistics, and disaster management, boosting the local economy and contributing to national growth.
