The Adani Group exemplifies excellence, achieving remarkable milestones across diverse sectors. Each project not only propels our nation’s development but also solidifies the standing as a leader in the global arena. Here is to celebrating a legacy of innovation and commitment that shapes a brighter future for all.

New Runway, New Horizons

A major milestone in Adani Group’s aviation ambitions was marked with the inaugural landing of an Indian Air Force C-295 aircraft at the Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA). This landmark event celebrates the completion of the airport’s South runway and the rapid progress of the greenfield project. Once fully operational by early 2025, NMIA will become a critical hub for both domestic and international travel, significantly enhancing connectivity and driving regional economic growth. Designed to handle 90 million passengers annually, the airport is set to be one of India’s largest and most advanced aviation hubs, creating new opportunities for the local economy.

Expanding Clean Energy

Adani Total Gas Ltd (ATGL) secured a groundbreaking USD 375 million in financing, which will accelerate the expansion of its City Gas Distribution (CGD) network across 34 geographical areas in 13 states, ultimately serving over 200 million people. This development will enhance the accessibility of Piped Natural Gas (PNG) and Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), supporting India’s transition to a cleaner, gas-based economy. The investment also aligns with our vision of contributing to India’s sustainability goals, reducing dependence on high-carbon fuels, and driving the adoption of eco-friendly energy solutions.

WEF’s Green Cluster Leader

A major achievement in 2024 was Adani Group’s participation in the World Economic Forum’s ‘Transitioning Industrial Clusters’ initiative, which positions the Adani Mundra Cluster as a global leader in decarbonisation. The Adani Mundra Cluster, supported by our portfolio companies like Adani Enterprises, Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd. (APSEZ), and Ambuja Cements, will become one of the world’s largest integrated green hydrogen hubs. The cluster will produce 1 million metric tonnes of green hydrogen per annum by 2030, with plans to expand to 3 million metric tonnes by 2040. This initiative, underpinned by significant investments in solar, wind energy, and electrolyser manufacturing, aims to decarbonise hard-to-abate sectors like cement production, marking a significant step toward a carbon-neutral future.

Advancing Aatmanirbharta

A milestone for India’s defence sector, Adani Defence & Aerospace inaugurated South Asia’s largest Ammunition & Missiles Complex in Kanpur. Spanning 500 acres, this facility is a testament to the group’s dedication to Aatmanirbharta (self-reliance) in the defence industry. With an initial output of 150 million rounds of small calibre ammunition, this cutting-edge complex underscores the need for secure, domestic sources of ammunition and missiles. With Industry 4.0 technologies and AI-driven automation, it marks a leap forward in both quality and safety standards.

A New Dawn in Solar

Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) operationalised 1,000 MW at the Khavda Renewable Energy Park in Gujarat, making a significant contribution to India’s renewable energy capacity. With 2.4 million solar modules installed, this achievement bolsters AGEL’s operational capacity to 9,478 MW, propelling us closer to our 2030 target of 45,000 MW. This effort is a direct contribution to India’s ambitious goal of achieving 500 GW non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030.

Pioneering Sustainable Smelting

Adani Group’s entry into the metal industry with the commissioning of Kutch Copper’s first greenfield copper refinery unit in Mundra is another hallmark of the group’s diversified portfolio. The 0.5 MTPA capacity facility, with plans for expansion, will emerge as the world’s largest single-location custom smelter. Designed with the lowest carbon footprint, this project will create thousands of employment opportunities while meeting the growing global demand for copper driven by renewable energy and electric vehicle industries.

Building Stronger Foundations

Ambuja Cements, part of the Adani Cement business, made a strategic acquisition of Orient Cement Ltd. (OCL) for INR 8,100 crore. This acquisition adds significant capacity to our cement portfolio, including a 5.6 MTPA clinker capacity and 8.5 MTPA cement capacity. With its highly efficient plants, strong dealer network, and environmentally sustainable initiatives like solar power, this acquisition will enhance our competitiveness in the building materials industry.

Redefining Maritime Trade

2024 also witnessed the arrival of India’s first transshipment vessel at Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone’s Vizhinjam Port, marking a monumental achievement in Indian maritime history. This state-of-the-art automated facility is positioned to become a global transshipment hub, handling cargo along major international trade routes. With advanced container handling technology and a focus on automation, Vizhinjam is set to redefine India’s role in global maritime trade.

A TIME-ly Honour

In 2024, the Adani Group was honoured with a spot on TIME’s prestigious list of the World’s Best Companies, highlighting our exceptional performance across key areas such as revenue growth, employee satisfaction, and sustainability. This recognition reflects the dedication and hard work of our teams across the globe, driving excellence and pushing boundaries across our diverse business sectors, from energy and infrastructure to sustainable solutions.
