Adani Electricty is celebrating six years of steadfast commitment to delivering exceptional service to the city of Mumbai.

As we celebrated the 6th anniversary of Adani Electricity on 29 Aug 2024, I would like to reflect on the tremendous strides we have made together. Our journey over these past six years has been marked by innovation, growth, and a steadfast commitment to delivering exceptional service to the city of Mumbai.

Lighting Up Mumbai’s Future

Our pioneering efforts have set us apart as leaders in the power distribution sector. With the implementation of India’s first Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS), we have revolutionised how we predict and prevent power outages, ensuring that millions of Mumbaikars benefit from a brighter and more reliable power supply.

We have not only expanded our customer base by 60%, now serving 31.97 lakh customers. Power cuts have decreased by 54%, and the average outage duration has been slashed from 46.36 to 21.54 minutes per customer. This significant improvement, along with reducing distribution losses from 8.16% to 5.30%, highlights our commitment to operational excellence and cost optimisation.

Customer-Centric Innovations

Our focus on enhancing customer experience has been at the heart of our operations. From the introduction of Genius Pay kiosks to the launch of India’s first Video Contact Center, we have transformed the way we interact with our customers. These innovations, along with the Sampark and Samvaad initiatives, have strengthened our relationships with customers and empowered our employees to address customer concerns directly and effectively.

Our journey towards a greener future is also well underway with the successful implementation of paperless billing, now adopted by 33% of our customers. Additionally, our CRM transformation, coupled with the development of enhanced digital platforms, has provided our customers with seamless access to services and information, making their interactions with us smoother and more efficient.

Commitment to Sustainability and Digital Transformation

Sustainability remains at the core of our strategy. With 34% of our energy now derived from renewable sources, we are on track to reach our target of 60% by 2027. Our initiatives, such as achieving zero waste to landfill and eliminating single-use plastics, underscore our dedication to environmental stewardship.

Our digital transformation journey has been equally impactful. The creation of a data lake, the deployment of Elektra, our AI-powered chatbot, and the adoption of advanced TMS and WMS systems have significantly enhanced our operational efficiency and customer service capabilities.

Sustaining Financial Growth and Strength

Our financial achievements over the past six years are a testament to our robust business model and strategic vision. With our Regulated Asset Base (RAB) growing from INR 5532 crore to INR 8485 crore, and our EBITDA increasing from INR 1539 crore to INR 2350 crore, we have demonstrated our financial strength and set a solid foundation for future growth.

Recognitions and Future Outlook

Our efforts have not gone unnoticed. Being recognised as the top utility company in India by the Ministry of Power, with an outstanding score of 99.9 out of 100, reflects our unwavering commitment to excellence. Our innovative spirit has also been acknowledged with prestigious awards, including the Best Innovative Leadership Development Program by The Economic Times HRWorld and the ‘Excellent Energy Efficient Unit’ award for Adani- Dahanu Thermal Power Station (ADTPS).

As we look to the future, I am confident that the best is yet to come. Our journey has only just begun, and with the dedication and hard work of each one of you, we will continue to achieve new milestones, setting new benchmarks in the industry.
