The Adani Group Project Council convened on 24 Jan 2025, in Ahmedabad, embracing the powerful theme Collaborate to Excel – Project Kumbh. The day was a dynamic showcase of collaboration and innovation, filled with meaningful discussions and valuable insights, creating a seamless environment for enriching engagement. This event attracted an impressive gathering of around 200 participants across diverse departments, including Projects, Engineering, PMAG, CFMC, HR, and TC, representing 21 business units. Present at the event were Rajesh S Adani, (Group MD), Dr Malay Mahadevia (Director- AAHL), Vneet S Jaain (MD-AGEL) and R V Shahi (Advisor to Chairman and Ex. Power Secretary), among others.
Taking the theme of this quarter’s Council into action, the event kicked off with group discussion focusing on key project challenges and initiatives to ensure 100% budget delivery, led by the Heads of Projects, Engineering and TC.
Everyone spent time aligning capacity and capability building ideas to scale capex execution, strategising a roadmap towards project excellence, and Q3 FY25 initiatives by businesses. Mr Jaain and Dr Mahadevia shared their valuable experiences, providing key insights and guidance as a way forward in making it as transformational journey.
One of the highlights was the prestigious Group Project Excellence Model awards for Quarter-3, recognising standout group projects across various categories. These awards were presented by Mr Adani, Dr Mahadevia, Mr Jaain and Mr Shahi, followed by the launch of the Community of Practice (CoP) initiative as part of plans to pre-engage with the key partners on various new technologies and methods in construction.
The meet also featured a ‘Cluster-wise performance analysis’ by Rajeev Pal and Rahul Bawa with CPOs, discussions on digital journey and initiatives, value engineering, process transformation approach, etc. These sessions sparked insightful discussions among the participants. The event concluded with Guidelines for FY26 Capex Budget Planning to be followed during the budgeting exercise.
Once again, participants expertise and dedication were evident in the thoughtful perspectives that were shared, significantly enriching the discussions. The time and effort Council members invested in the meeting were deeply appreciated by everyone involved.
The teams’ collaborative spirit and constructive engagement fostered a productive and positive atmosphere. This level of participation is crucial for Council meet collective success and strengthens Adani team's unity in achieving the common goal. With the team’s continued support and collaborative approach, it will be possible to achieve all project goals and deliver outstanding results.
