A Groundbreaking Integrated Campus

A new integrated campus for Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel in the vicinity of Guwahati Airport will house around 850 CISF personnel.

Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International (LGBI) Airport in Guwahati has officially embarked on a transformative project with the groundbreaking ceremony for an advanced integrated campus dedicated to Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel.

Under the leadership of chief guest Praveer Ranjan, IPS, the Special Director General of CISF, this initiative reinforces the unwavering commitment to supporting the vital security personnel who safeguard our skies. The new facility will dramatically enhance resources for CISF members and significantly elevate the safety standards at Guwahati Airport, ensuring a secure travel environment for all.

The ceremony was attended by several dignitaries, Raja Shrivastava, ADG, CRPF,  KN Tripathy, IG, NES, Deepak Verma, DIG, E&NE, Arun Bansal, CEO, Adani Airport Holdings Ltd, among other esteemed guests. The integrated campus is designed to provide a comfortable environment for CISF personnel, with state-of-the-art facilities catering to their needs. The campus is testament to LGBI Airport’s commitment to providing its personnel with the best facilities and environment, enabling them to perform their duties with utmost efficiency and effectiveness.

In line with the values of stakeholder engagement, CISF is committed to supporting the concept of the North East Hub, which aims to promote economic growth and development in the region. The construction of the campus utilised new technology, enabling a faster construction process compared to traditional methods. “A collaborative approach is essential for achieving excellence in security and services. We must continuously innovate and improve to meet the evolving security challenges,” shared Mr Bansal.

The CISF is also committed to improving its service standards, guided by the philosophy of GEMS (Going the Extra Mile for Security and Service Excellence). This campus will serve as a hub for training and development, enabling our personnel to enhance their skills, knowledge and provide world-class security and services to stakeholders. 

The CISF campus will play a crucial role in supporting the increased number of personnel required for the new terminal, which will serve more passengers. The campus will provide a comfortable and modern living and working environment for CISF personnel, as well as serve as a hub for training and development.                                          

The campus will be constructed in compliance with National Building Council (NBC) guidelines, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.  This development is a testament to Guwahati Airport’s commitment to operational excellence and strengthened airport security through faster development.
