The Adani Green Talks Social Impact Awards 2025 convened on 24 Sep at the Belvedere Golf and Country Club in Ahmedabad, emerging as a beacon of hope and innovation for India’s environmental and social landscape. This landmark event brought together visionary social entrepreneurs, industry leaders and ecosystem enablers to celebrate transformative ventures addressing the country’s most urgent sustainability challenges. With a sharp focus on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the Awards recognise solutions that not only drive economic progress but also safeguard the planet and promote social equity.
A Nationwide Quest to Unearth Innovation
India’s vast and diverse population holds immense potential for transformative ideas. The Adani Green Talks Social Impact Awards exemplify this by reaching out far beyond metropolitan centers to Tier-2, Tier-3, and Tier-4 towns where innovation often goes unnoticed. This year, the platform expanded its outreach significantly, inviting innovators across the country—whether rural artisans, college teams, or individual entrepreneurs—to submit their ideas.
This democratisation of innovation is crucial, as solutions crafted in local contexts often hold the key to addressing complex regional challenges effectively. By providing mentorship, exposure and financial assistance, the Awards create a nurturing ecosystem where these ideas can be validated, refined and scaled. The collaboration with media partner NDTV and process partner DevCom Bharat ensured wide visibility and a rigorous selection process, reinforcing the integrity and impact of the Awards.
Empowering Early-Stage Innovators: The Fellowship Awards
The event commenced by honoring the Fellowship Award recipients—early-stage innovators demonstrating high potential to create lasting impact. Among them, Dhruv Vidyut stood out with its pioneering electric bicycle conversion kits that enable affordable, sustainable transportation solutions. This initiative not only addresses urban pollution but also enhances mobility for economically disadvantaged communities.
Marut Drones captivated the audience with its precision agricultural drones designed to optimise farming practices, increase yields, and reduce resource waste. Precision agriculture represents a leap forward for India’s agrarian sector, particularly in regions grappling with water scarcity and soil degradation.
Onergy showcased comprehensive solar energy solutions, providing decentralised, clean power access—an essential element in bridging the energy divide in rural India. Similarly, PRESPL’s work in bio-energy signifies a promising stride towards renewable, waste-to-energy technologies that can transform rural energy ecosystems.
These fellows symbolise the essence of innovation rooted in sustainability and social impact, reinforcing the event’s commitment to nurturing a new generation of changemakers.
Scaling Impact: The Grant Awards
Following the fellowship awards, the spotlight shifted to ventures further along their growth trajectory. These grant recipients have demonstrated operational maturity and measurable impact, warranting additional support to scale their solutions.
Carbon Masters exemplifies circular economy principles by converting food and agricultural waste into biofuels. This innovative approach not only reduces environmental pollution but also generates renewable energy, addressing two critical challenges simultaneously.
Fluxgen leverages cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies to optimise water management. Their platform enables efficient monitoring and use of water resources, a vital innovation in a country where water scarcity threatens both agriculture and livelihoods.
Kheyti’s model of tech-enabled agriculture services provides smallholder farmers with access to quality seeds, agrochemicals, and expert advisory, enhancing productivity and sustainability. Navalt is pioneering sustainable transport solutions with its solar electric and hybrid boats, contributing to cleaner waterways and reduced fossil fuel dependence.
Takachar’s portable biomass upcycling equipment transforms rural waste into valuable resources, empowering communities to convert agricultural residues into bio-products. This innovation not only mitigates air pollution caused by crop burning but also creates new economic opportunities in rural areas.
