Collective joy and pride of over 800 members of the Adani Foundation Parivar were on display as they came together, both in-person and virtually, to honour the 29-year journey of the Foundation on August 11, 2025. It was on this date in the year 1996 that the Adani Foundation commenced its social development initiatives in Mundra, Gujarat. Every year, the day is fondly marked as ‘Adani Foundation Day’.
To commemorate the occasion, a celebration was organized at the Adani Foundation’s head office in Ahmedabad. The celebration was graced by Dr Priti G Adani (Chairperson, Adani Foundation), Shilin R Adani (Trustee, Adani Foundation), Vasant Gadhvi (Executive Director, Adani Foundation), Dr Abhishek Lakhtakia (CEO, Adani Foundation) and Jatin Trivedi (CEO, Adani Skill Development Centre). Employees from the Foundation’s sites across the country joined the event virtually.
During the event, a series of pre-recorded messages of community members from across India were played. Their words conveyed the same heartfelt message – words of pure gratitude. But for the Foundation parivaar, they were much more than words of gratitude – they were a reflection of our efforts to touch their lives in a meaningful way. Taking their wishes one creative rung higher, young boys and girls performed traditional folk dances, highlighting the cultural ethos of their communities. Their performances touched everyone’s hearts.
In her address, Dr Priti G Adani shared, “The Adani Foundation is one of the first and grandest manifestations of the Chairman’s deep-rooted belief in Seva, which has now shaped a great part of the work that is being done across the Adani Group. As the Group contributes towards helping build the nation, we – the Foundation – have grown side-by-side, bolstering our commitment towards society, seeing the humane, giving rise to improvements in the lives of hundreds, thousands and now nearly one crore people. India is on its way to greatness, and we are all being called to do our part. As we step into year 30, our eyes should be on the next milestones."
Extending her wishes to everyone on the occasion, Shilin R Adani said, “As we celebrate the Adani Foundation Day, we are not just marking another date – we are honouring a journey, a purpose, and a promise that began in 1996. The road ahead demands deeper reflection, bolder action, and an unshakable commitment to serve. Together, we will move forward with purpose and passion, determined to make every community stronger, and every life we touch brighter.”
The celebrations concluded with a cake cutting ceremony, followed by national anthem.
In its three-decade long journey of serving the underserved, the Adani Foundation has touched the lives of more than 9.6 million people across 7,060 villages of the country. With community well-being at the heart of all its initiatives, the Foundation is dedicated to bringing about an inclusive and sustainable transformation at the grassroots. Through its holistic efforts in the core areas of Education, Health & Nutrition, Sustainable Livelihoods, Community Development and Climate Action, the Foundation continues to empower people to become self-reliant and enhance their socio-economic well-being.
As we march ahead in our journey of spreading smiles, we move forward with renewed commitment, energy and passion. We remain dedicated to empowering and enriching more lives.
