Every megawatt generated, project commissioned and milestone achieved has strengthened Adani Power’s reputation for reliability, culminating in Brand Finance’s recognition as India’s most valuable energy brand.

A valuable brand is built on consistent performance. It is shaped by the promises it keeps and the confidence it earns over time.

That journey has now received one of its strongest endorsements.

The Brand Finance India 100 Report 2026 has named Adani Power India's most valuable energy brand, valuing it at $1.8 billion after a remarkable 152% increase in brand value. The recognition reflects a company that has consistently delivered reliable power, embraced technological innovation and executed complex projects at scale.

Brand Finance's rankings recognise organisations that create enduring value through sustained business performance and stakeholder confidence. Adani Power's rise to the top reflects nearly two decades of engineering excellence, operational discipline and dependable execution.

Established in 2006, Adani Power was founded on a simple yet ambitious objective: to build world-class power infrastructure that would support India's economic growth.

From operating a single plant at Mundra, the company has grown into India's largest private-sector thermal power generation company, with an installed capacity of 18.3 GW across Gujarat, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Jharkhand and Tamil Nadu. Alongside greenfield expansion, Adani Power has strengthened its footprint by acquiring and reviving strategic assets such as Mahan, Udupi, Korba, Vidarbha Industries Power and other stressed projects, bringing valuable generation capacity back into productive use.

Its growth story has been defined not only by scale but also by technology leadership.

Within six years of entering the sector, Adani Power developed the world's largest greenfield thermal power project portfolio of 9,240 MW. It also pioneered advanced thermal technologies by commissioning India's first supercritical thermal power unit at Mundra and the world's first ultra-supercritical unit at Godda. These milestones reinforced its position as a technology leader in the power sector.

Performance has remained the company's defining strength.

In FY26, Adani Power generated more than 100 billion units of electricity, the highest annual generation by any private-sector power producer in India. Sustained performance at this scale has reinforced its reputation for reliability and strengthened its position as India's most valuable energy brand.

The next chapter is already taking shape.

Adani Power is executing India's largest private-sector thermal power expansion programme, investing nearly INR 2 lakh crore to add around 24 GW of capacity and exceed 42 GW by 2030-31. At the same time, it is preparing for the future with plans to develop 10 GW of nuclear power capacity by 2035 and 5 GW of international hydropower capacity.

Together, these investments will strengthen India's energy security while building a more diversified portfolio to meet the country's long-term power needs.

“A strong brand is never built on perception alone. It is built on performance and the trust earned over time. Being recognised as India's most valuable energy brand reflects the confidence our customers, partners, investors and communities place in Adani Power. As we continue to expand our capacity and embrace new technologies, we remain committed to delivering reliable energy solutions that power India's aspirations and create lasting value for every stakeholder,” said Ajay Kakar, Head – Corporate Branding, Corporate Brand Custodian, Adani Group.

For every colleague across the Adani ecosystem, this recognition is a moment of shared pride. It celebrates the collective efforts of engineers, plant operators, project teams, maintenance crews, commercial teams and countless others whose dedication keeps the nation's lights on and its industries moving.

From a single generating station to India's largest private-sector thermal power producer, Adani Power's growth has been defined by bold investments, technological leadership and disciplined execution. Becoming India's most valuable energy brand is not simply another milestone. It reflects the confidence earned by consistently delivering on the company's promise to power India's progress.

As India advances towards becoming a global economic powerhouse, Adani Power is doing more than generating electricity. It is strengthening the country's energy security, enabling industrial growth and building the infrastructure that will power the nation's next phase of development.
