Adani Electricity has intensified its fight against power theft in FY 2025-26 and achieved a significant reduction in losses.

At Adani Electricity, reliable power is more than an essential service — it is a promise of trust to every consumer we serve. FY 2025-26 has been a defining year in our fight against power theft, a menace that drains infrastructure, burdens honest consumers and undermines the integrity of our distribution network.

Through intensified vigilance, our teams registered 486 FIRs, conducted over 36,000 raids and recovered nearly 80 tonnes of illegal wiring. Together, these efforts helped us assess theft worth INR 43.39 crore and, more importantly, drive down AT&C losses to 4.46% — placing us among the lowest in the country.

Beyond the numbers, this achievement reflects an unwavering commitment to fairness and accountability. Power theft is not merely a criminal act; it is a social offence that compromises the collective good. By curbing it, we protect critical infrastructure, reduce maintenance costs and help ensure competitive tariffs for our 3.2 million customers across Mumbai.

Our vigilance teams uncovered several high-value theft cases over the course of the year, reinforcing a clear message: unlawful practices will not be tolerated. Every raid, every FIR and every recovery represents a step forward in protecting the rights of honest, paying consumers.

Looking ahead, our mission remains unchanged — to deliver 99.99% reliable power with integrity, transparency and innovation. By eliminating theft, we strengthen the backbone of Mumbai's energy ecosystem and reaffirm our pledge to serve every household and enterprise with fairness and excellence.
