RECOGNITION
Where Sustainability Meets Scale

A landmark recognition celebrates Adani Cement’s sustainability leadership, demonstrating how responsible manufacturing, circularity and resource efficiency can power India’s infrastructure growth.
For an industry that forms the backbone of infrastructure, sustainability is no longer an aspiration—it is a competitive advantage. ACC, one of Adani Cement’s flagship companies, has been recognised as the Most Sustainable Company in Cement under the Sectoral Excellence in Manufacturing category at Business Today’s India’s Most Sustainable Companies 2026. The recognition validates ACC’s long-term commitment to building a future where industrial growth goes hand in hand with environmental stewardship, resource efficiency and community development.
The award is more than an industry accolade. It recognises a business model where sustainability is integrated into every stage of operations—from manufacturing and energy use to water management, logistics, product innovation and the circular economy. Guided by its Sustainable Development 2030 Roadmap, ACC continues to demonstrate that responsible manufacturing can create lasting value for customers, communities and the nation.
The Company’s performance in FY2026 reflects this commitment. Nearly 30% of ACC’s energy mix now comes from renewable and green energy sources, while 94% of its cement production comprises blended cement, significantly reducing the carbon intensity of its products.
ACC has also made substantial progress in advancing circularity across its operations. During the year, it co-processed 4.5 lakh tonnes of alternative fuels and waste-derived materials and utilised 10 million tonnes of supplementary cementitious materials, reducing dependence on virgin resources while supporting more sustainable production processes.
Water stewardship remains another defining pillar of ACC’s sustainability journey. The Company remained 1.7 times water positive and harvested more than 7.6 million kilolitres of rainwater through extensive conservation, recycling and recharge initiatives across its manufacturing locations, helping strengthen water resilience in the communities where it operates.
Beyond the factory gates, ACC is reimagining how cement reaches customers. Its integrated marine logistics network—comprising 10 bulk cement terminals, seven port-based grinding units and seven new vessels with a combined capacity exceeding 65,000 DWT—is enabling a greater shift of freight from road to sea, reducing emissions while improving supply chain efficiency.
The Company’s commitment to sustainable construction is equally reflected in its product portfolio. ACC’s blended cement products are enlisted in the GRIHA Product Catalogue, while products such as ACC F2R Superfast and ACC ECOMaxX concrete have earned GreenPro certification, supporting India's growing demand for environmentally responsible building materials.
As India accelerates investments in infrastructure, housing and urban development, the cement industry has a critical role to play in ensuring growth remains sustainable. ACC’s recognition by Business Today highlights how innovation, resource efficiency and responsible manufacturing can coexist with scale and business performance.
For Adani Cement, the achievement is a testament to its broader vision of creating world-class building materials while reducing environmental impact. It reinforces the Group's belief that the future of infrastructure will be shaped not only by the structures it builds, but by the sustainability with which they are built.
