At Adani Green Energy (AGEL), generating renewable energy is our core business—but we believe sustainability should go beyond what we produce. It should define how we operate. That’s why we’ve voluntarily committed to making our workplaces as green as the energy we deliver.
AGEL has already eliminated single-use plastic from operations and ensures that no waste from its sites goes to landfills. It is also the first renewable energy company among the world’s Top 10 to achieve water-positive status, achieving this ahead of its target year of 2026. Additionally, 46% of our fleet runs on electric vehicles. Now, we’ve raised the bar even higher. Our Ahmedabad headquarters, Commercial Tower 1 (CT1) at Inspire Business Park, Adani Shantigram at Ahmedabad has achieved the prestigious IGBC Gold Rating.
This isn’t just about a certificate. It’s about leadership. It’s about demonstrating that world-class design and environmental responsibility can coexist. CT1 sets a benchmark for how corporate spaces can minimise their footprint while maximising comfort and efficiency.

What Makes Adani Green Energy HQ’s at CT1 a Green Building
Smart design, smarter choices
- Tree cover: Over 350 saplings across the 5.19 acres CT1 Campus, creating a lush microclimate.
- Location advantage: Amenities within 1 km and public transport within 600 m—because sustainability starts with accessibility. Also, bicycle station right at the CT1 entrance to ensure carbon-free commute for employees residing within the township
- Integrated planning brought together architects, engineers and green consultants to create a building that works with nature, not against it.
Energy That Works Harder
- Saved 12.28% energy compared to standard benchmarks by using efficient air-conditioning, lighting and smart building design.
- 44 kWp rooftop solar PV generating ~67,921 kWh annually, covering 4% of our energy needs.
- A smart Building Management System (BMS) monitors and controls energy use across the building, making sure every watt is used efficiently.
- Low carbon emissions due to optimised design and resources.
Water wisdom
- 39.51% potable water savings through efficient fixtures
- 6 percolation wells harvest rainwater with a capacity of 1,409.76 m³/day.
- 100% reuse of treated water for flushing and landscaping—because every drop matters.
Materials that tell a story
- 22.2% recycled content and 72.6% locally sourced materials reduce embodied carbon
- GreenPro-certified products for finishes.
- 95.34% construction waste diverted from landfill—because waste isn’t waste until you waste it.
Healthy Inside, Healthy Outside
The building provides fresh air ventilation as per international standards for indoor air quality, as per ASHRAE 62.1 (The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers is an American professional association seeking to advance heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems design and construction).
Advanced air systems use high-grade filters and UV lights to keep the air clean and germ-free.
We use paints and adhesives with very low chemical emissions (Low-VOC) to keep the air clean and healthy.
Innovation at Every Step
- Structural optimisation saved 10.6% steel and 7.4% cement.
- 17% water use reduction during construction.
- Guided by an IGBC Accredited Professional to ensure best-in-class compliance.
Beyond The Building
CT1’s achievement is part of a bigger picture—our journey towards a sustainable future. With renewable energy usage, electric vehicle fleet for operations, Adani Green Energy is walking the talk on climate action and reducing its carbon footprint.
CT1 is more than a building—it’s a statement. A statement that says: Green is not an option; it’s the way forward. It promotes a healthier and more comfortable environment that enhances productivity. Let’s keep pushing boundaries and making every space #GreenerThanEver.
