In 2017, with a bold vision to strengthen India’s clean-energy self-reliance, Adani Solar was established as the solar manufacturing arm of the Adani Group. What began as an ambitious step toward indigenous solar manufacturing has today evolved into India’s most integrated solar PV manufacturing business- and one of the most globally competitive.
From ingots and wafers to cells and modules, Adani Solar spans the entire solar value chain. Even key ancillaries such as solar glass, aluminium frames and encapsulants are part of its ecosystem. At Mundra, the company is building the world’s first vertically integrated solar manufacturing facility at a single location. The company continues to invest and deepen its scale, efficiency, and technological excellence, and the journey continues.
Since inception, Adani Solar has shipped over 20+ crore solar panels worldwide. Collectively, these shipments represent more than 8,32,000 tonnes of solar modules, equivalent to loading over 4,500 Boeing 747 aircraft, heavier than the entire Golden Gate Bridge and comparable to nearly 1,60,000 elephants.
But beyond these numbers lies real impact — powering cities, industries and millions of homes with clean energy.
