The biggest opportunities often begin before demand is visible. Across London and Abu Dhabi, the Adani Annual Conference 2026 brought together leaders, investors and partners to explore what it takes to build ahead of India’s next phase of growth.

India’s next phase of growth will depend on the ability to build the infrastructure, energy and platforms required before demand fully emerges. This was a central theme of the Adani Annual Conference 2026, which brought together Group leaders, global financial institutions, industry experts and partners across London & Abu Dhabi.

The conference began in London on 7 and 8 September with investor and analyst meetings, followed by one-on-one and group sessions in Abu Dhabi on 9 September.

Opening the conversation, Sagar Adani placed the Group’s growth in the context of the scale being created across its portfolio. In FY26, more than USD 16 billion of gross assets were added across the Adani portfolio -effectively matching the size of the entire portfolio in 2019. The pace reflected not simply the ability to build, but the confidence to anticipate where demand was headed.

In 12 months, we created what had previously taken three decades to build.”

Mr Jugeshinder Singh shared the Adani Group's strategy update at EMEA Chapter- London

Building ahead of demand has been central to the Group’s journey across energy, transmission, transport, logistics and other critical platforms. The emphasis was not only on the scale of individual projects, but on creating assets that could become foundations for the next layer of economic activity.

From physical assets, the conversation moved to the capital required to build and sustain them. Jugeshinder “Robbie” Singh, Group CFO, outlined the Group’s long-term investment approach and the role of capital in improving productivity. The Group’s investment programme was planned over a six-year horizon, with close to USD 100 billion of investment envisaged.

For the Group, the opportunity extends beyond deploying capital into individual assets. Investment was closely tied to the productivity it enabled, expanding access to energy and logistics while creating platforms on which businesses and communities could grow.

Nearly 100% of our return comes from the lift in the productivity of the country.”

The discussions also highlighted the importance of how these investments worked together. Anupam Misra, Head, Group Corporate Finance, described a portfolio in which different asset classes strengthened one another. Ports connected to rail, rail to logistics and logistics to power, while the power backbone was increasingly relevant to emerging requirements such as data centres and AI compute.

Each asset class compounds the productivity of the next and this creates a multiplier cascade.”

Adani Annual Conference 2026 EMEA Chapter, hosted at the JW Marriott, Grosvenor House, London

This interconnectedness gave individual assets a wider role. Ports, logistics, transmission and energy worked together to create the conditions for the next layer of growth.

Energy remained an important part of the discussion. As India’s electricity requirements continued to evolve, the conversations looked across renewable generation, transmission, storage and the need for reliable supply. The focus was on building an energy ecosystem capable of supporting both existing requirements and emerging areas of demand.

The scale of investment also required strong governance, clear decision-making and operating systems capable of supporting businesses as they expanded. The conference therefore brought the conversation back to a simple but important question: how could large-scale capital be translated into productive assets and ultimately, long-term value?

Across London and Abu Dhabi, the discussions offered a view of the next chapter through that lens. The opportunity lay not only in building more assets, but in connecting them, investing ahead of demand and creating platforms that could support India’s growth over the long term. For the Group, the ambition was to build at scale while ensuring that the foundations being created today could enable the opportunities of tomorrow.
