Adani Sports Day 2026
Out Of Office, Into The Game

Some days are meant for meetings. This one was meant for matches.
For a few hours, the laptops stayed shut, meetings could wait and the workday took on a different kind of energy. 87 employees stepped away from their usual roles and into four teams — Blue, Yellow, Red and Green, ready to compete, cheer, laugh and perhaps discover a side of their colleagues they had never seen before.

There was someone running for the finish line, someone shouting instructions from the sidelines, someone taking the competition far more seriously than expected and more than one colleague who seemed determined to prove that being good at spreadsheets had nothing to do with being good at cricket.
That was the spirit of Adani Sports Day 2026.

The day brought together employees for a mix of competition and camaraderie, beginning with pickleball, football and cricket before moving into the more unpredictable territory of tug of war and relay races. The sack race and lemon-and-spoon race brought their own brand of chaos - requiring balance, timing and in some cases, the ability to laugh at yourself.
And there was, of course, a scoreboard.
Team Green made an early impression, taking wins in pickleball, football and the relay race. Team Yellow responded with victories in cricket and tug of war. When the points were finally counted, it was Team Yellow that emerged as the overall champion.

Team Yellow — Overall Champions

But the scoreboard captured only one part of the day.
The more memorable moments happened between the matches, in the cheering that grew louder as a teammate approached the finish line, the high-fives after a good play, the friendly arguments over a close call and the laughter when a relay did not quite go according to plan.
For a few hours, colleagues who usually met across meeting rooms, floors and screens found themselves on the same side of the field. They were teammates.
Perhaps that was what made the day special. Sports has a way of changing the setting and with it, the way people see one another. The colleague who is usually quiet in a meeting might turn out to be the loudest cheerleader. The person who rarely misses a deadline might be equally unwilling to miss a chance to win. And someone who came simply to participate might leave with a story everyone was still talking about.

The day also made room for something beyond competition. A Sports Recovery & Physiotherapy Session by Dr Falgun Bhatt gave employees an opportunity to learn more about recovery, staying active and taking care of their bodies, an important part of making sport a sustainable part of everyday life.

And then there were moments that no scoreboard could record.
A team celebrating a win as if it were a final. A player refusing to give up even when the result seemed decided. Teammates gathering around someone after a close match. The banter between events. The photographs. The conversations that would probably never have happened on an ordinary workday.
These moments may not have added to anyone's score, but they were perhaps the real measure of the day.
By the end of the day, Team Yellow had the trophy. Team Green had three event wins. But every team had something to take away.

Because an initiative like Sports Day is about more than putting employees on a playing field. It creates a space to step away from deadlines and routines, connect beyond work roles and build the kind of camaraderie that carries back into the workplace.
You came to compete, but you stayed for the people. That is what made the day feel different.
