A significant pre-wedding initiative introduced by Mr Adani and Ms Shah is Mangal Seva, a programme directed towards supporting newly married Divyang women. Through this initiative, 500 women will receive annual financial assistance of INR 10 Lakh, aimed at helping them lead more independent and dignified lives. The wedding marked a step towards making a positive impact in the lives of those who are often overlooked.

Weaving Love and Legacy

A feature of the wedding was the emphasis on supporting local artisans. The occasion highlighted and empowered artisans from across India. In collaboration with renowned designer Manish Malhotra, the couple worked with the Family of Disabled (FOD) NGO to create bespoke shawls. This initiative promoted social inclusivity, combining craftsmanship with a meaningful social impact.

In alignment with the family’s commitment to preserving India’s rich artistic traditions, the couple presented Paithani saree, emblematic of Maharashtra’s cultural heritage as gifts to the guests. These exquisite, hand-woven sarees were crafted by skilled artisans from Nashik. This thoughtful gesture celebrated the timeless beauty of Indian craftsmanship.

The wedding also featured a wide array of hand-crafted essentials, including hand-painted glassware, plates, and accessories, all created by artisans from the Family of Disabled NGO. Additionally, Chennai-based designer Kai Rassi’s digital artistry enhanced the event’s décor, beautifully merging traditional craftsmanship with modern innovation.

Service Above All:A Family Philosophy

Gautam Adani, the guiding force behind the Adani family’s philanthropic values, has pledged INR 10,000 crore to support infrastructure initiatives in healthcare, education, and skill development. Mr Adani expressed his pride in his son and daughter-in-law, noting the strong principles their union represents. In a heartfelt message shared on social media, he conveyed the guiding philosophy of their family: “Seva Saadhna Hai, Seva Prarthana Hai, Aur Seva Hi Parmatma Hai,” meaning service is the highest form of devotion. This principle has long been the cornerstone of the family’s mission, and it was clearly evident throughout Mr Adani and Ms Shah’s wedding. The pledged funds will be dedicated to creating affordable world-class hospitals, medical colleges, K-12 schools, and global skill academies, all aimed at enhancing employability across all sections of society.

Gautam Adani acknowledged the role his wife, Dr Priti Adani, had played in shaping their son’s life.

“I must acknowledge that the true force behind you has always been your mother, Priti Adani. As you step into this new chapter, know that every step that you have taken has been guided by her boundless love, prayers and sacrifices," Gautam Adani told his son.
"Your mother has been your pillar of strength, your guiding light and your anchor. She has stood by you, through every victory and every challenge. Always steady and always supportive,” he added.

As he offered his blessings to the newlyweds, he added, “Every success you have achieved, every step you have taken, has been nourished by her boundless love, her silent prayers, and her countless sacrifices. Her enduring presence has been the foundation upon which you have built your path forward.”
